"This piece was created as I read through “Apotheke: Modern Medicinal Cocktails” by Christopher Tierney and Erica Brod. The ring design is based off of plant and Art Deco inspired wallpapers and interior design seen in “Apotheke”. I imagined a cocktail ring that might be worn by a patron who frequents contemporary speakeasies, with imagery reminiscent of the 20’s and 30’s and an edgy but comfortable design that is best shown off with a cocktail glass in hand.
