Sergio Bustamante is a Mexican sculptor and jeweler best known for his inventive and imaginative work with paper mache. His inventive creatures are brought to life, the pieces individually painted and glazed, bringing even greater detail to his work. Bustamante's first exhibition was in 1966, at the Galeria Misrachi in Mexico City, and he continues to exhibit his work around the world.
This piece is a miniature cross sculpture featuring Bustamante's signature suns and moons, and two fish circling each other in the middle. The piece is set in sterling silver, signed, and can be worn either as a brooch or as a pendant.
