“Petra” is a mixed media assemblage on a sturdy handmade, 24″ x 36″, three inch thick canvas.
 
This piece incorporates acrylic paints; fabric; ribbon; paper; leather; resin, glass, crystal, stone, coral, and metal beads; feathers; trims; and deconstructed jewelry, accessories, and garments. The 3″ edges of this canvas are painted black and finished with a metallic silver decorative paint treatment, and the entire piece is sealed with a professional UV protective acrylic varnish.
 
This piece is the seventeenth in Susan’s 2021 series titled, “Corona.”
