This piece was created as part of Carolina's Graduate Thesis collection, "de Materia Medica". Intended as a vessel to hold a calming tea blend, this piece was meticulously raised by hand from a single sheet of copper and sits freely on a copper base. The interior and lid are enameled using a torch-fire technique of fusing vitreous enamel to the surface of the copper. The handle was constructed from sterling silver and is attached to the lid using cold-connecting rivets.
